Mark is the head of the Dispute Resolution Practice Group at Aquinas Law Alliance LLP.
He acts for clients in complex commercial and corporate disputes before the Singapore courts and in arbitration, including urgent applications, trials, shareholder and partnership disputes, employment disputes, insolvency-related matters, and cross-border conflicts involving multiple stakeholders.
Proficient in both English and Mandarin, Mark advises on China-related and cross border disputes where strategy must be aligned with clear communication across jurisdictions, cultures and stakeholders. He brings together substantial courtroom and arbitration experience, commercial awareness and a results-focused approach to managing high -stakes and time sensitive matters.
Some of the matters that Mark has been involved include
- Acted for a defendant in a multi-year High Court suit brought by a Singapore-listed group concerning its acquisition of an overseas mining business, involving allegations of misrepresentation, director duties and cross-border transactional issues
- Acted for a liquidator in successfully striking out claims brought by a former shareholder/creditor of the company
- Acted in an ICC arbitration for a Chinese Claimant to obtain specific performance of a perpetual license agreement for sale and manufacture of aircraft arising from breaches and wrongful termination of the license agreement.
- Acted for the defendant in a High Court appeal involving cross- border enforcement and civil procedures issues in a commercial dispute
- Acted for the Law Society of Singapore in disciplinary proceedings before the Court of Three Judges concerning a solicitor’s breach of an undertaking
Mark has been recognised by Benchmark Litigation in 2026 as a Future Star and by Asialaw in 2025 as a Notable Practitioner in dispute resolution.
He also serves on the Law Society of Singapore’s Foreign Bar Liaison Committee – China Chapter from 2025, and the Public & International Law Committee in 2026, and has been appointed to the Panel of Arbitrators of the Changsha Arbitration Commission in 2026.
